Glen Affric lies south west of the nearby village of Cannich, its unique landscape of lochs, mountains, pine, oak and birch which collectively form the Caledonian Forest have been deemed a National Nature Reserve and a National Scenic Area. The Affric area is abound with a wide variety of wildlife including Red, Roe and Sika deer, Red Squirrels, badger. foxes and Pine Martins plus a unique and diverse variety of bird life including Black Grouse, Golden Eagles, Ospreys, Crested Tits and the Scottish Crossbill."
