Welcome to HighlandTrekker.

 HighlandTrekker is owned and run by Rob Wilkes. I have been living in Scotland since 2008 and have hiked, ran and climbed all over the UK. I currently hold the Summer Mountain Leader, Winter Mountain Leader & Rock Climbing Instructor awards

I offer bespoke guiding, multi day trips, navigation for walkers and runners.

Minimum of 3 for the walk to go ahead

Cancelled £30 contact 8/8 left A guided walk onto the Cairngorms Plateau. This is a chance for you to enjoy the winter hills without worrying about the weather or navigation. Crampons, winter boots and ice axe will be required, these can be hired from many outdoor shops throughout Inverness and Aviemore. Use of crampons and ice axe will be taught on the day.

"The cottage is set in a tranquil rural location on the edge of the historic village of Tomich in one of the Highlands most outstandingly beautiful glens – Glen Affric....'The Glen of A Thousand Whispers'. Glen Affric lies south west of the nearby village of Cannich, its unique landscape of lochs, mountains, pine, oak and birch which collectively form the Caledonian Forest have been deemed a National Nature Reserve and a National Scenic Area. The Affric area is abound with a wide variety of wildlife including Red, Roe and Sika deer, Red Squirrels, badger. foxes and Pine Martins plus a unique and diverse variety of bird life including Black Grouse, Golden Eagles, Ospreys, Crested Tits and the Scottish Crossbill."
